Very insightful Micah. Thanks. Just doing some light research on the purpose of the Church and trying to get a better grip on what we are to do as believers. I've been a Pastor for 30+ years and I find myself a little disheartened by all that we call "Church". I feel our focus on "the Service" and "the worship" is creating more and more shallow Christians. Big Church politics and Worship team elevation seems to be a little outside of what the early Church focused on. Church traditions and fads have taken us in so many different directions. I want to get back to basics but in a way that is not necessarily condemning of all modern practices. I'm afraid were not necessarily discipling but only Christianizing people.
